Department mission
The mission of the Department of Psychology is to:
1.Undergraduate program
- Prepare students to work in counseling settings and provide students with educational experiences that facilitates their knowledge of guidance of school and community
- Prepare students to work in educational settings and equip students with the ability to construct psychological testing, statistics and guidance of learning.
- Equip students with research methodology and critical thinking skills in the area of psychology and education.
2.Master program
- Prepare students to work in counseling settings and provide students with educational experiences that facilitates their abilities in psychological assessment and counseling in the area of guidance of school and community counseling.
- Prepare students to work in educational settings and equip students with the ability to construct psychological testing, statistical analysis and guidance of assessment and learning.
- Equip students with research methodology and critical thinking skills in the area of psychology and education.
- Put the philosophy of “lifelong learning” into practice, provide mental health professionals with further education, facilitating professional teaching, guidance and research ability.
3.In-service master program
- Put the philosophy of “lifelong learning” into practice, provide teachers with further education, facilitating professional teaching, guidance and research ability.
- Prepare students to work better in educational settings and equip students with the ability to assess teaching performance, statistical analysis and guidance of assessment and learning.
- Train students to work in practical mental health settings, and prepare students with the ability to practice counseling in school settings and guidance skills.
- Equip students with research methodology and critical thinking skills in the area of guidance and educational counseling.
